"Hmph, like you ever get my emotions right by smell anyway." She said quickly, tracing her few bites of meat. It wasn't all too surprising to feel a familiar tough finger slide itself under her chin and lift it carefully back up to see him. He gave her a smile and his ears lowered to show his own distress.
"I don't need my sense of smell to tell." Kale said softly. He removed his large finger slowly and sat himself up, brushing off some snow from his jacket. "You always give that same blank look on your face." He said with a wave of his hand.
Jaclyn felt warm blush cascade over her cheeks at this and that only caused the giant to let out a rumbling laugh. "I know you all too well!" He lowered himself down closer to her, waving his finger with a large fanged grin. "You can't fool me no matter how hard you try."
She felt her heart give a quick skip when she felt Kale's face fade and be replaced with her father's smiling face. In only a moment it all disap

"Oh well perhaps we should have left her at the cave " Cara mumbled after pulling her bright silver eyes away from the swaying Pegatan. "I could have stayed with her you know I wouldn't mind playing with the little cub." She said gently.
Jaclyn felt her teeth strain against each other to hear herself being talked about not to...and like a child. Though her head eventually dropped and she sighed, letting the wolves converse over her head like they normally did with her around. It felt like it had been so long since she had seen people she didn't have to stretch her neck to see.
Though she squeaked up at attention when Kale came to a sudden stop and so did the other wolves around him, turning their heads and flaring their noses to smell something she could not. Kale's gray ears folded against his short silver hair before he carefully set the Pegatan down on a tree root that managed to keep itself above the snow.
