Wolf Pack- Chapter 13- The Council
Kale walked into the cave with a few other wolves, that Jackie shrunk back from, and placed his logs and sticks with the pile the pack had created so that the cave would be warm. He could already see his father and a few other males preparing the deer and rabbit so they could be eaten. Sure wolves could eat them raw but it always tasted better when it was cooked.
The young teen wolf made sure Jaclyn wouldn't see and sat down, resting against the cave walls with a soft sigh. It was hard to imagine that only a century or two ago the Pegatans and the wolves didn't know each other existed. When Kale was young he could remember his father telling a tale how his own father, Kale's grandfather that had unfortunately passed away before Kale could meet him, met his first group of Pegatans. According to Kale's father the Pegatans couldn't do much of anything but hide from the larger animals. And they were good at it.
It took years after catching the first glimpse of a Pegatan to actually meeting one. The Pegatans must have came after the wolves because Kale's father said that it took long after the birth of the planet for the Pegatans to even be found on the gigantic forest filled world. So it proved hard to find any to see if they were really a threat.
Though more and more wolves became worried for the small creatures that shared their own appearance, or at least half of their appearance. The Pegatans had tried to build their own cities to house themselves in but they didn't last long, having the world practically encased in gigantic trees left giant animals roaming without a care. Whatever the small ones had built would be destroyed in a matter of time. Eventually the wolves were able to, unfortunately for the Pegatans, catch a few of them and have a talk….even if the talk itself probably lasted years as well.
And now the deal had gone on for so long it almost felt like it had never been changed between the humans and the wolves. Kale's silver eyes found his cupped hands were he could feel Jaclyn holding onto his coat. It made him feel bad the Pegatans that still did not entirely trust the wolves. He had yet to meet a wolf that endangered a Pegatan….before he or she was caught anyway so it was hard for him to imagine why the small creatures wouldn't trust them.
The law was strict around the wolves, if any of the pack alphas caught a strange scent they would be protecting both their pack and their Pegatan village, even if it was another wolf. It had yet to happen where wolves tried to strike back against the Pegatans but the law would make sure that wouldn't happen.
But there was one thing about the alphas…the Council. These wolves were the best alphas around the world. There was part of the Council that was in charge of a certain area, like a back up for the alpha. They were the most powerful wolves, like purebreds. Everyone obeyed them, even the other animals, like some kind of secret law. It was easy to spot these wolves. They had many forms, their full gigantic furs, a Pegatan form, a small Pegata sized form, and finally the look of a normal wolf. Kale doubted that the Pegatans ever heard of them but he had a deep feeling that Jaclyn would soon. His ears dropped in worry as he looked at his father. He hoped that his father didn't plan on bringing the Council in on this pup.
When Kale caught sight of his mother he gave a quick glance where his father was before pulling his mother over to sit with him. She gave a little squeak as she was yanked but settled next to her son, pursing her lips. "Kale! Be nice to your mom." She huffed though her eyes softened when she noticed her son's worried eyes. "Darling…darling what's the matter? Why do you look so pale?" She whispered, lifting a cool hand to place it on his cheek as her white furred ears sagged.
Cara's beautiful silver eyes looked down to Kale's hands in a silent question and Kale sighed, turning his attention away. His mother already knew it was about the little girl in his care. "The Council…" He said slowly. "Dad isn't…calling for them…is he?"
His mother's hand slid down to his forearm, patting it gently to make him meet her eyes again. When he looked they showed uncertainty but they seemed to feel him with relief before her mouth even uttered the words. "I don't believe that the Council is needed for such a little one. She's just curious and got in a little trouble." She said in a calm voice, shifting her eyes down to his hands as if to see if the girl would have some reaction to what she said.
Kale breathed out a cloud of warm air, watching it curl before disappearing and glanced at the cooking meat his pack was preparing. "That's all I needed to hear…" He said in a soft voice so Jaclyn wouldn't hear. He glanced down to his mother when she laid her head against his shoulder, curling one of her arms beneath his.
"You're just like your father when he was this age. It's cute really. But why not take the little one to the hot springs when breakfast is over? I'm sure she doesn't like staying in this stuffy old place and you know everyone will have their time to roam." She said with a little laugh. "It might be a little deep for her so keep a good eye on her." She murmured, sitting up and lying a finger over his two lips with a soft smile. "I want you to remember how you felt in her home." She whispered, leaning forward and pecking his cheek. "She is a guest, but also one of the pack for the time being. And as the little cub that she is, she has to get to know the other wolves." The white wolf stood after that, walking over to her mate and sitting down beside him, snuggling into his warmth and leaving her son to sit there stunned.

The Stranger Chapter 13
"Come on!!" Talli said grumpily standing on the edge of the water with a face that I almost had to laugh at. It was funny that even in a time like this, I couldn't help but find her absolutely adorable. She, however, did not seem to be as pleased. "Will you get going?" she continued and limped towards the water, letting her toes be touched by the current. "Your friends will be here by the time you actually get in this water!"
"I don't understand why you are in such a rush to get back," I muttered. "I'm sure we can hide you-"
"I don't want to be hidden," she hissed back. "I'm not some monster
I just don't want to be in the way

Chapter 13
Putting Others Before One's Self.
“Wake up.” The voice came with a nudge on his shoulder. “Hey, kid. Wake up.”
Felix opened his eyes and saw Bowan kneeling beside him. His large hand left Felix’s shoulder as soon as the boy’s eyes opened.
“Just thought you wanted to wake up before breakfast comes so you can get a head start when it finally arrives, on account of that hand of yours,” Bowan stated.
Felix sat up and discovered he was indeed in the slaves’ quarters. He and Bowan were the only ones awake. It was earlier than Felix ever woke up before,

Chapter IX Suddenly You Realize...
The sound of his black, polished leather boots clicking against the cobblestone and gravel echoed through the silence that had befallen the town. Palace guardsclad in red, black and white attireflanked his sides as he made his way down the pathface contorted into a foreboding scowl.
"It's rare to see one of the princes out..." some onlookers whispered while others just stared.
"His young majesty seems to be in a bad mood..." one pointed out quietly.
Darius paid the steadily murmuring citizens no heed, barely sparing them a glare, as he stopped in front of the doors of the library

x.x Okay I can't believe I keep forgetting to update on Weds >< Sorry guys! At least it's only a day off this time!
Oh and I'm not sure if I mentioned this but I'm trying to get the act of a wolf the best I can so some things will be different. Such as the social status of females in the pack, even if Jaclyn doesn't follow that too well >> Oh and carrying the pups and how they treat them as well. XD; Hoping that doesn't change anyone's views on my story! ^^

Well, it's nice to finally see some more detail in the plot, but some things strike me as a little strange. One, Pegatan's didn't know wolves existed until upwards of 200 years ago, how old is this world then? If everything Pegatan's built fell to predatory animals, it seems strange that they could build a civilization in only 200 years, especially one with, as was said in chapter one I think, some major technological advances compared to humans (as a side note, you're still using Pegatan and Human interchangibly). Further, just how big is this world, and how many Pegatans and Wolves inhabit it? Also, are wolves shapeshifters, antrhomorphic, humanoid? I saw this picture of yours [link] and, while I feel Jaclyn's image here pertains to something later in the plot, is this how wolves look, human-looking with some wolf features?
I also realize this seems to be very much a fantasy setting, but you may want to rethink just how long the pact between the Wolves and the Pegatan's has been in place, or rethink just what sort of technological advancements they have, especially if they always need to run/hide from other animals.
Also, if these things are answered in the plot, I suppose I'll find them eventually (no need to give spoilers here), but these features I think could be sorted out better.
