Wolf Pack Chapter 2- Meet the Pack
Jackie groaned, her head throbbing as she lifted a hand to rub at her forehead. She expected to feel cold as soon as she moved from her sleeping position but she felt no different. This is what worried her at first, had someone found her and was she back in the village? Were her parents in trouble? Why was it so DARK?!
She hissed slightly and squirmed a bit onto her side to push the heavy object lying on top of her. Whatever it was, she couldn't move it off her…barely at all really and she flopped back on top of the smooth, firm surface. She laid her head down, her blonde hair spreading out around her head as she took in her surroundings. Wherever she was it moved, up and down, up and down. She listened for a while, it almost sounded like wind--!
She gasped and her head lifted quickly. She was sure she would have sat up if it weren't for the heavy item on top of her. She ran a hand over the smooth, firm surface and then the surface on top of her. Different. And whatever she was lying on was alive, it was breathing and the only thing that could be this huge had to be a wolf.
A wolf had found her! And now where was she?....
Jackie huffed and dropped her chin on top of what she could only guess what the wolf under her. How was she going to get out of this now? A wolf was WORSE then an adult from her village.
Kale groaned and lifted his free hand to drop it over his closed silver eyes. The Pegatan was awake and it tickled slightly to have her wriggle under his shirt. He tiredly lifted his head, his short gray colored hair falling into his eyes and his hand dropping to his side. He lifted a few fingers from his stomach to see if the bulge under his black shirt would move. It jumped.
His ears perked to attention and he slowly sat up, cradling the figure against his gut as he righted himself. He took a quick glance around the cave, most of the pack was out probably searching for breakfast but both his father and mother were still here along with a few little pups.
A yelp caught his attention and he quickly looked down to have the little one slip literally between his fingers and drop onto his lap. He knew she was squirming but that much? He cautiously lifted the front of his shirt and jumped to have the tiny figure scramble away from him as soon as her eyes met his.
"A-Ah…shush, shush." He said frantically when he saw her mouth open, probably ready to scream, and held up his hands in defense to show his innocence. It was a mistake; it startled her off his lap and onto the cave floor by his side. He even flinched when her back hit the floor.
She groaned and held her back as she sat herself back up, momentarily leaving the wolf's curious gaze. Kale had only seen one Pegatan, unfortunately that was long ago and he barely recalled the memory of trying to play with something so small. Of course, wolves always fought to play…perhaps it was a stupid idea to try with a Pegata. But no matter how many times he pounced at the little creature, she only laughed and gave his nose a shove when he got to close.
He lifted a finger to his nose and rubbed the tip, his ears drooping at the memory. He wished his father and mother would allow him to visit the little ones, he adored their village. It was a lot more interesting then this old cave. He snorted and looked back down to the little girl only to have his fanged mouth drop open. Gone.
Kale's ears folded back against his gray and white hair, searching frantically for the little girl. Surely she couldn't run that fast that she made it out of the cave! He searched the pups first, they were probably the most guilty if they took her. He quickly and quietly crawled over to the first one and sniffed at the young girl. Not guilty.
He did this for the rest of the puppies in the cave only to end in misery. They weren't holding her. He took a glance to the alpha male and female and slowly shook his head. His mother and father would find no interest snatching the little female while he was distracted. He stood up and walked to the end of the cave, searching his feet before looking at the meadow's grass. The wolf snorted. He had to search for her again…didn't he?
Kale dropped to all fours and stuck his nose to the ground, trying his best to sniff out the tiny creature that seemed so afraid of him. He lifted his head when he heard a tiny scream and couldn't help a little smile to see a brown rabbit trying to find out what kind of animal the Pegatan was. He shook his head, he was impressed. She had gotten pretty far from the cave. He walked over on his clawed hands and feet, pushing off the ground to crouch over the small creature.
The rabbit's ears folded against its back and its nose was going insane at the smell of a wolf. He grinned, his canines shining in the early light. He let out a small 'woof' and the rabbit shot back into the tree line where it belonged. He sighed and looked down to the Pegatan that was standing stock still between his suspended knees.
"Fast runner…" Is all he could muster, even if he wanted to comfort her he had a feeling picking her up was not a good choice right now. She flinched at his voice and he found his once wagging tail and his alert ears sagging. "It's okay…you don't have to be afraid of me." He said softly and suddenly remembered the dominance some humans wanted….or maybe it was just the sheer size of the wolves that they wanted them as low as possible. He backed up a little bit on the balls of his feet and slowly lay down. Though he did keep his head above her. Being the son of the alpha did have its power trips.
Jaclyn jerked away to see the wolf's body lie over the grass, lowering her eyes quickly. She cursed herself for not listening more closely to the lessons about the body language of these wolves in school. The only thing she really did know is to keep their eyes away from theirs. She wasn't sure if this one was the alpha or not but she didn't want to insult him.
"My name is Kale." The giant rumbled, causing a shiver and a gasp of cool air to be sucked into her lungs. His name? He gave his name to a Pegatan? Has that happened before? She chewed on her lip, wringing her hands as she searched her boots for any answers. Should she give her own name? She sucked in another breath before looking up slowly to the wolf ears atop his head, perked and paying full interest on her.
"M-My na-name…" She said slowly, watching one of the ears turn away from her before going back to facing her. "N-Name…i-is um…"
The ears drooped slightly and the wolf raised his head to show his concern in her eye sight only for her to quickly avert her eyes away. The giant sighed and she felt her hair rustle at the loose warm breath. She managed to hold down a scream as she felt one of the giant wolf's fingers slip under her chin and force her to look into his deep silver eyes.
"Your name is…what, little pup?" She blushed and felt her knees weakening. She just wanted to see a wolf, not get THIS close to one of them. It made her nervous, not only from their size but because she didn't want to embarrass her village.
"J-Jaclyn!" She blurted out quickly, hugging herself in the cool winter morning. Kale smiled and allowed his hand to drop, letting her heart settle down a few more beats.
"I'm glad you could tell me-."
"Kale! Kale is that you sweetheart? What are you still doing in the middle of the meadow?" A large feminine voice called. The gray ears that Jackie had been watching turned back quickly before they fell, as if in worry. He sat up slowly and the young Pegatan found herself backing up at the sight of the giant raising into the sky.
He turned his head toward the voice and gave a low huff before looking back down to the young girl. "I'll be right back, stay here please. The pups don't play this far and you have my scent on you so you're safe here." He murmured and Jackie was pretty sure she caught something proud about him in that sentence.
Kale shoved himself off the ground, brushing off some dirt on the back of his tan pants and black shirt before rumbling off toward the cave. Jackie chewed on her lip and found herself inching toward the tree line. If she could make it back to her village, the wolf wouldn't need to worry about her. She took a quick look at the sun, hoping that she could guess the time without a watch and nodded to herself. She had a few hours before school started…
She took one last peek over at the cave, rather far off, and then the gigantic trees. Without another thought, she broke into a run. If she could keep herself running at least half the distance to the village then she could set the wolf off on the wrong track. Her heart pounded against her ribs as she looked over her shoulder just in time to hear a howl start off in the distance, whether it was her wolf or another she didn't want to stop.
Jackie groaned, her head throbbing as she lifted a hand to rub at her forehead. She expected to feel cold as soon as she moved from her sleeping position but she felt no different. I Was the First Chapter 3
"Well do something!" the scarier giant shouted to the one behind me. "How else are we going to know if she can talk?!"
"I
I can't," the kinder one said in an almost pitying voice. "I can't just grab her. She's not some animal."
"She
she is a human! They are practically the same as most rodents!" he shouted, dumbfounded. How could these giants think about humans that way? I was shocked to realize that they probably both believed these horrible ideas. I was the same as them, being only considerably smaller. We both wore clothes, we both could articulate our thoughts and feelings, I should just explain all of this to them bu

Rescue Pet Part 1
The door of the pet store chimed as Connor stepped inside. He had wanted to get a new pet for a while now, but last time he had come in, there hadn’t been much selection and they had been out of many types. But while he was on his way to get a drink at the coffee shop this morning, he had noticed the truck pulling in to deliver new pets. The shop was owned by a couple of Syorians like himself, which he was glad for. He wasn’t fond of the shops run by Syors; the stores tended to double as an exotic food store and the unsold pets, especially the humans, were usually eaten.
He shook his head as he cleared that thought, making his wa

Not Just a Pet - Chapter 5
"stop being stupid Keely" Keely scolded herself, wiping her tears away as she dried herself
"he probably didn't mean it" she reasoned
"Keely?" Julian said through the door "are you decent? I have your clothes for you"
"YES!" she yelled as loud as she could, and to her luck he heard her
"Here you are, sweetheart" Julian said with a smile as he handed her clothes, laughing at the blush that splayed her cheeks
"Thank's" she giggled and waited for him to leave the room then started to get changed.
Julian was leaning on the other side of the door, a goofy smile on his face.
"god she's adorable" he breathed "...for a human" he added, shaking hi
